Heya Nightfall & Friends,

This is an update for the activities of our forum team this weekend, and why its happening.

This weekend a migration of our forum is planed to:
http://www.eternalnightfall.co.uk

The domain name is due to our current one expiring and this one being cheaper ^_^ and ensures the privacy of our forum team (hide from whois ^_^ they dont like big brother)

The migration benefits us as a whole:

* vBulletin Upgrade
Shiny new bot preventions - reduce pressure on forum admin team
Video Embedding - increasing the usefulness of our guides
Nice new Addons available (e.g. one for WoW raid signups - will be tested to reduce pressure on raid leaders)
* Regain FTP control
This will allow us to ensure hovers work (and point to wowhead)
Fix anything that can and will go wrong from time to time


Please note, that during this weekend, the forums may experience....issues to say the least ^_^ they may be on and off a bit. It is for the benefit for us all and therefore patience is requested

I would finally like to wish the team undergoing this task the best of luck *cheer* go team go *cheer* *waves pompoms*

I have a test-vbulletin setup at home. If you like I can run tests tonight, or others reading this thread...

the current logo is basically a working one - I tried to start a competition for a new header logo on the .net forums noone responded :)

yeah, this box runs php4, i would love to update to five, there are many clients on this server however whos code is critical on 4 have been trying to organise upgrading their code base to 5 for a long time (i am not rewriting their code for them). But I'm sure we can get this to work.

ok guys, item bbcode now works, but ive done it by hand so if you want to make links you need [ item = itemnumber ]Item Name [ /item ] without the spaces.

So let me give you an example with spaces and what it gives:

Gives:

also if you link directly to wowhead you automatically get a floaty thing

because i dont have access to vbullitin licence i cant download the addons that do the intermediate and find out that shit for you. This is just a means of getting us up and running while i try to sort things :).
