Heyhey,
It was a quiet, somehow warm evening in Azeroth this Friday evening just gone. That was until a tree decended upon ZA. There were reports of said tree bouncing around for the week before this day, making every consumable possible, every effort to ensure his teams victory...for he wanted that damned belt.
The event planned, people logging in and summoned it was almost time to go...only one question remained...."Where on earth do they keep hiding that repair dude?"
Nightfall's success in ZA before this night resided soley on the bear boss dying followed by the eagle boss, and a few VERY GOOD tries on that damned cat!
Where would the night take our restless warriors...the plan, to take that bear on timer, all or nothing, the tree wants his belt!
We all took a swing at the gong....Mr Harrison Jones kindly opened the doors for us, and sadly lost his life....should have stuck to the battle plan Harrison, you NEVER go ahead of the tank!
The patrol....didnt see what was coming before it was too late, and ate the floor, the bear sent troops at us, also, quickly dealt with; the bears tanked far apart, were short work....could it be? this was looking too good. We all hugged the wall, took the dudes on the stairs, took the next 2bears, we were on the pull before the boss. The pull that has caused more wipes than anything ever before....pwned, they all had shocked looks on their faces as they saw the blade going in for their final breath....the boss....wait...the timer....10mins left! \o/ the tree knew it was time, he wanted that belt...the boss was ging down!
Within 7minutes, the boss, was toast. No innervate was used, just one pot. We quickly looted and Sophi got some damn fine bangles for if she prepared a shadow kit again. It was like poetry...but look....ages on the timer...lets go for the bird quick all!
We mounted and ran to the other corner, imagine, we just met our goal for the night, but what if...what if nightfall could take a second ZA boss on timer. By this time we had to take two minutes to mop up for the tree that had wet himself with excitement....think Blahaims had to sedate him.
Now came the decision, to do the striptease run, that gives Bodo such amusement, or to work our way up the mountain like true warriors...."to Battle" was cried accross the ruins of Zul Aman; and we charged in... 1 grp of trolls, 1 grp of birds...eeeek trolls from behind, phew, ok, more birds ...ow they hitting me, im squishy, wait, kill that dude....\o/ w00t no more birds....how did we ever fail at that bit 0.o???????
Bird boss, OMG, 14mins on timer, you what? how? zomg, lets get it! Be calm...anything could happen...calm....*tactics review*...the faint sounds of Bodo's tears falling, he REALLY wanted the strip tease. His tears stopped, his face hardend, he lifted his head, his imp would get revenge!
We danced with eagle boss, well, was more like disco'd with all them lights from the thunderstorms ;]
Timer says 17minutes...wooohoooo \o/ Birdie down Birdie down \o/ Genu got a very nice stick to beat people with and time to open the chests ^_^
Silf got a very nice fist weapon which im sure we'll see paraded around Aldor bank pretty soon.
...now...did the tree get his belt....
...nopes but Bodo got a nice new shiny cape \o/..and we all got braging rights.
That's it on our story to Zul'Aman...
...or is it? hahaha not half....what you talking about we had only been in ther 30minutes, still some bosses left to go, time left, people still awake and very pumped over the timed bosses.
Time for a 5minute break, wet our whistles, jump around the house shouting "weeeeeee", sacrafice an imp...whatever everyone did, we were pumped for the kitty cat.
Time for the troll with the totems. But first...the trash. Now the last time we Nightfall members ventured into the path of the lynx boss we got suprised a couple of times by some stealthies..but nothing prepared us...nothing could of...who knew...Hotep...who could have ever prepared us for him.. who knew what would happen if he turned :X MC'd that man knows who he wants to take down...Sophi took 4 hits, and was a gonna, was nice that floor, it was the first of many deaths for the poor priest, poor squishy priest.
We got to the stairs before the boss, Hotep strikes again, those mobs definately knew who to MC hey...this time he went for Plodders, now, with more health and armor than poor little Sophi he would have survived the merciless attack of an MC'd Hotep..but was electrified netted :[ tree down :[ Hotep meanie.
We got to the lynx, no wipes, just a few "healer down" over ts...and that was mainly, as shown above because of Hotep *stares evilly* "all my repair bills are belong to you"
Now, Nightfall made extreme progress the last time in ZA and had a couple of AWESOME attempts on the Lynx, however failed to make him pay.....till today...
We did much more research into him this time, we focused, we prepared common Lynx lets have you.
DPS were on fire, the totems barely hit anyone. Tanks were superb, spirit of the Lynx was picked up awesomely, neither let the other take the full force of the cleave...healers, well..proof was in the testing, nobody died...except the Lynx. ^_^ oh yes, he liked the floor of his hut so much he ate it ^_^
Now we did the maths, 17 mins left after the Eagle boss, took us 14 minutes on trash and 7 minutes on Boss...it would have been tight...however, I for one recon its doable. We spent some time outside the chamber discussing the tactics too...its doable, make no mistakes.
We learnt a lot from that trash tho, 1. They MC and dont take Hotep, 2. they dont like being trapped, 3. They like killing healers :X.
Silfist walked away with some jewelry, he does like shiny things.

To the bomb boss! Never attempted before, lets have ago, so pumped weeeeee...then Bodo explained the scouts 0.o now, you cant acuratley explain the scouts without actually having been there to see them. From the moment you engage them, you NEED to stop them getting to the closest drum, and they have almost as much determination as we did to get some boss butt. Also, they arent all as nice as the first one. Firstly, the first one is just a taster, stop him before he gets the job done with the drum...why...well, we found out...when we missed one...he banged the drum...he called reinforcements :X reinforcements took a disliking to the healers :X Also, they dont all just sit there, some come with a group....some SPAWN ONTOP OF YOU...
We had several wipes, learning that trash is a head stress, but we eventually got to the boss...*safely skipped past the "everyone stick to the left to avoid an extra pull" where Sophi went to the right and found that extra group...yup everyone missed that part....if not....it was the imp!*
Sophi then got to do her fave trick....MC'ing mobs to death \o/....actually, anyone mind next time we are there trying to MC the scout? sure they are immune, but worth a shot :] maybe pop in strip on down and give it a go, will give Bodo his strip tease he wanted so desparately anyways ^_^
As with all Nightfall experiences, theres only so much you can learn while reading, Bodo tried his hardest to explain the tactics, but his Imp shouted charge!...so charge we did.
We were getting the hang of it, a few deaths, resets and ressurections later...our final attempt.
The bombs, nolonger a problem, the number of eggs we let hatch, no longer an issue, was there anything that could stop us?
*Sophina begins casting flash heal on Blahaims*........"hmmm" thinks Sophina, that should have landed by now, why am I still....oh no........

"OMG Nooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!" I scream (no I did, parents thought I'd hurt myself, even the dog came over to check on me!)
Then I hear it over ts..."Do I battle res Bodo or Soph when she gets back?"...it was a wipe.../me cries
He was <50% best attempt that night by far, before the DC everyone was up, happy, pumped, eggs werent an issue.... *sad panda face*
We call it, however, make no mistake, ZA will see Nightfall again, the bosses will probably see us in a different order (gotto shake things up a bit) we will be back ZA, and next time, we will have vengence!
An extra boss down, 2 bosses downed on the time event and huuuge strides into the 4th boss, I applaud.
ZA....to steal a phrase...we will be back!
