Pc advice plz

Hi

I am in the process of upgrading my PC, at present I have an AMD XP2500 (m), I am going to get a new mobo and cpu, will the heatsink i have fit the new one?? I have a thermaright sp 97.

I'd get a new heatsink as you are getting a new CPU anyway

It will depend on what CPU you're upgrading to. If you're getting an AMD retail CPU it might be worth sticking with the heatsink/fan that comes with it.

Id say you would be ok aslong as your not moving on to a new 64 bit prossessor system, if you are i wouldnt risk it, as you can always buy a new processor with a heatsink for just a little bit more than the processor itself.

also be aware that the main of new motherboards only support PCI express cards and not AGP graphic cards.

Got a new grapics card coming as well :) Basically I am keeping my hdds, ram, opticals and getting new stuff for the rest of it. The CPU I am going to get has a hs and fan :)
