Just thought I'd share this with you few die hard pvp'rs as I am enjoying pvp a lot more then PvE at the moment...

I myself am looking forward to this change, seems that the battleground finder (similar to the dungeon finder) will be quite interesting to use.

Interesting. I'm still forcing myself through WSG and AB so that I can get enough marks for a pvp mount. I'm not going to be impressed if it suddenly becomes available for straight honour.

Seeing as marks will be removed - the pvp mount will have to be available for straight honor.

What hasn't been announced yet (afaik), is the conversion rate of the marks you have obtained already. I.e. how much honor will they grant, if they can be turned in seperately etc.

My fear would be that it will be honour plus cash, so I'm just going to try and complete before the change is implemented.

It would be nice if the battleground finder thing implemented the system whereby you choose whether you are damage, healer, tank etc. That would lead to much more balance in the bgs, although possibly at the expense of increased queue times.

OK, completed and got my badges :)

Now I can't decide which one to get.

The Tiger is my racial mount, and I think suits a Night Elf, but the Strider and Horse also look good - not sure how I'd look on a strider.

Any thoughts? :)

Bloody hell. Thank you for posting that, Nella :)

If that goes live, with 2k honour per mark, there is no way I am getting my pvp mount now. It's a flat 50k for the pvp mount in the new system. With the old system it was 30 marks from each of Alterac Valley, Warsong Gulch and Arathi Basin.

Under the new system those marks are now worth 180k! I could buy three pvp mounts and have enough change for some armour. That's truly mad - I can't believe they will go live with that amount of honour, but I'm going to hang on to my marks for now and see what happens. Can't imagine I'll be worse off.

Time for some serious bg farming :)

Certainly seems to be worth keeping a close eye on it as you get a small window between US live and EU live to bail and buy before the patch if it turns out to suck on live :D

You might have noticed the change already but apparently they have changed this on the PTR so that 1 mark is only worth 185 honor. The mount honor cost is still 50k honor so it's better to buy the mount now.
